AWS Use Case: SISAMEX
INFRAESTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE

Sisamex is a 50-50% joint venture of Quimmco and Meritor Inc. The company is a world-class manufacturer of automotive components for commercial vehicles.
Sisamex manufactures axles, brakes, related components and assemblies for trucks and tractor-trailers (Class 5 to 8), as well as off-highway products for the agricultural industry.
The production plant is located in Escobedo, Nuevo León and has around 2,000 employees. The company supplies its products to customers such as John Deere, CNH, Magna, Axle Alliance and through Meritor to major original equipment manufacturers such as International, Freightliner, Kenworth, Mercedes-Benz, and many others.
The company is also a component supplier to Meritor and its customers globally.

Sisamex had the need to streamline and automate the processes related to the Material Cost and Business Plan reports, which are currently processed manually with an approximate effort of 3 days per month by the Purchasing area.
Furthermore, the sales simulation process was generated manually to calculate the sales plan for the month; this way of working, in addition to the time invested, could generate untrue scenarios in terms of errors in data entry, calculation, among others.

XALDIGITAL offers an AUTOMATIZATION AND SIMULATION solution where a repository was built to centralize the information of the reports presented to management in an automated way that allows enabling reaction capabilities for decision making.
Sisamex decision makers can count on an automatic visualization of their dashboards without the need for manual processes. Additionally, the provided platform allows simulations of the impact of sales and purchases on the company’s Profit and Loss projection per month and comparisons against budget and previous years.
Within the implementation of each process, the following components were taken into account: Intake, Processing, Storage, Consumption, Security and Data Governance.
